# 13 Del.icio.us, #14 Technorati, #15 Web 2.0 perspectives

Just a quick post to let you know that I am still working through the things, a little slower that I would like, but getting there none the less.

Haven't spent much time looking at these things but as will the previous thing, have got the gist of things.

I did get a a bit caught up with Technorati and somehow ended up taking a quiz to find out what style thinker I am. For those that know me you won't be surprised to find out that I was very rational and like to plan and think about things before I make a decision!

As for my thoughts on Web 2.0, I am convinced we can use this technology at the library, but I am still not sure how.

#12 Rollyo

Had a quick play with this tool today. I did create a Rollyo, but realised that it didn't quite work the way I wanted it to, so I haven't linked it for you all to see.

I can see its applications, especially for a reference librarian if you conduct the same searches on a regualr basis.

#11 LibraryThing

I checked out LibraryThing a few weeks ago while I was working one Saturday. It's very easy to use and I think for me its main use would be to record what I have read, not what I actually own. What's really handy is that you can access it anywhere if you have access to the internet.

Here's my catalog. Yes, it's very small, but I got the gist of it.

#10 - Online Image Generators

2 posts in one day - maybe I should leave work early more often!! I've just been playing around with image generators and have created one that some may find applicable to our line of work

8 and 9 - RSS

I have created my bloglines account and have now subscribed to a couple of RSS feeds. The one I am most pleased with is LII New this Week. I used to get these in an email every week and looked forward to receiving it but a while ago it stopped arriving and I never got around to investigating why (I suspect it has something to do with it going to RSS!). Now I will be up to date on new websites added to their site. The websites are usually American based but occasionally there is something useful to look at and remember for future use.

#7 Anything technology related

This will seem really boring to you all, but I recently got Nokia PC Suite installed on my PC at work (Thanks Freeloading Phill) and now I can synch my phone with my Lotus Notes Calendar. That's right, I can now see when I have a meeting and where it is, all on my mobile phone! Now all I have to do is remember to synch it regularly...

That's all for now.

#6 More Flickr Fun

Well it's been about a month since I last had a look at this so I thought I had better get cracking and learn some more stuff.

Of the three examples I liked the Flickr Color Pickr - and guess what I liked the most - the flower color pickr. I'm sensing a bit of a theme here.

I'm still investigating the others, so If I find something interesting I'll let you know.
